History

Welcome to Ironstone Creek Angus. We are situated in the Huon Valley, just outside of Huonville. We established the stud in 2004. After realising the best return for our property would be to specialise in breeding high quality bulls for the commercial sector.

We started with cows, purchased from Surveyors Bay (formally Creekton Stud) dispersal sales. This stud had a pround record in breeding excellent cattle that the Angus breed is renowned for.

Since then, we have purchased further cows from other Angus breeders. We will continue to breed any buy Heifers/cows until we reach our desired herd size. Our bought cattle have all been pregnant as this will help us to fast-track to our desired size and also enable to start producing good quality bulls.

Breeding

We currently are artificially inseminating our cows/heifers with high performance and quality proven bulls from Australia and USA such as New Design 208, BT Ultravox, Dunoon Regan, Te Mania Ultimate. Progeny can be viewed here.
